Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our Clients dynamic team in Ystrad Mynach. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in fabricating and assembling metal components. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and join metal parts.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that arise.

Skills

  • Proficient in welding techniques, particularly MIG welding.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of stick welding is beneficial.
  • Strong basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools in a workshop setting.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
  • Capable of assembling complex metal structures with attention to detail.
