An exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a leading industrial manufacturing organisation in Maidenhead. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial functions, including corporate accounting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Description

Duties & responsibilities for a Financial Accountant:

  • Ensure timely and accurate group reporting and statutory accounts.
  • Clarify day-to-day Treasury requirements, including guarantees.
  • Maintain and update general ledgers for group holding and finance companies.
  • Prepare and submit monthly results, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts for group reporting.
  • Review board minutes for transactions and prepare necessary journals.
  • Maintain data integrity in all financial systems.
  • Assist with year-end impairment reviews for assets.
  • Prepare statutory accounts using Caseware and ensure they meet filing deadlines and iXBRL tagging requirements.
  • Review draft statutory accounts and assist with audit queries.
  • Manage the distribution of draft accounts to relevant parties and contribute to iXBRL submissions for tax returns.
  • Ensure all signed statutory accounts are filed on SharePoint.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail
  • Commutable location from Maidenhead
