Reed are seeking a motivated graduate or school leaver to embark on a career in a specialist personal tax role within a well-established and reputable firm in the highly skilled US and UK tax market. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain distinctive exposure to the challenges of handling US and UK taxation, providing a rapid learning experience directly under senior management.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Preparation of US and UK personal tax returns.
- Providing US and UK tax advice to a diverse portfolio of clients including senior executives, high net worth families, entrepreneurs, and assignees to the UK.
- Assisting with client communications, gradually building responsibility over time.
- Collaborating with third parties to obtain necessary documentation and starting to build external networks.
- Engaging in on-the-job training and guidance to support technical development and progress in the field.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A strong capacity to learn and enthusiasm to develop a long-term career in tax.
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Commitment to studying for professional tax exams to aid technical development.
- Comfortable with working in Excel spreadsheets.
