Legal Cashier

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier, to join a high performing team in the centre of Maidenhead, working for one of Maidenhead's well established businesses. 

Full-time Accounts Assistant/ Legal Cashier | 9.00 am to 5.30 pm | Monday - Friday | Permanent position 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day transactions on behalf of clients,  as instructed by the legal teams for all offices.
This is a key role within the Finance Department, covering both incoming and outgoing transactions on multiple bank accounts, including CHAPS, Foreign Transfers, BACS and Cheques.

You will be checking funding is in place for all transaction types, preparing paperwork for CHAPS and foreign transfers and allocating incoming funds. 

You will also be dealing with queries from the legal teams and banks by email and telephone, ensuring adherence to regulation criteria and procedures including, but not limited to, SRA Accounts Regulations, AMLR and GDPR, at all times.

Requirements

As a Legal Cashier, you will ideally have legal cashiering experience or at the minimum, 5 years accounting experience, as well as A-C Grade Maths and English GCSE or equivalent. 

You will have good communication skills both written and oral, and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines and in a pressured environment, with strong attention to detail. 

You will be trustworthy, dependable and able to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements. 

We are looking for a real team player with a flexible attitude and the ability to work in a highly regulated environment. 

A keen interest in learning about a Legal Accounts environment is also essential!
