Job Description:

I am looking for a complex care healthcare assistant with children experience to join the team in our complex care package in Maidenhead. This package is designed to address the complex medical and personal care needs of the child.

Please see below all details and skills required for the package:

Shift patterns:

  • Night Shift patterns -3 nights per week Monday - Sunday 7pm - 7am
  • Night Hours: 7pm - 7am (Can extend till 09:30am if your happy to work longer than 12 hours)
  • Long day shift:Every Saturday
  • Day hours:7am - 7pm
  • Twilight shifts -Monday - Friday
  • Twilighthours: 14:00pm - 22:00pm

Information about the package and skills required:

The young girl is 7yrs old and tracks 2 years behind, but cognitively very engaging and likes to be a part of her care needs.

Skills needed:

  • ABI
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Epilepsy - Emergency seizure protocol in place with buccal midazdam
  • Peg in situ
  • Limited mobility uses walkers in the house, along with hoists and transfers, uses a wheelchair in the community.
  • Non verbal
  • Follows a keto diet, which staff are required to prepare and cook, puree and administrate via the peg.
  • Keto's are regularly monitored via small blood samples
  • Wears pads only at night, sometimes she has the odd accident otherwise can maintain bladder and bowel control.
  • Requires help with all care aspects.
  • Uses communication tools such as an AIC.
