The role of the ASD Teaching Assistant will allow opportunities to work in a variety of roles within the position including support the main class teacher, mentor and guide students with autism to ensure they have the skills required to enjoy socialising and living independent lives, assist in adapting resources to be appropriate for the needs of the students. The ASD Teaching Assistant should be resilient, empathetic and hard working with an open minded attitude to try new things to support these young people.
