Vector are recruiting for a talented and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing and innovative business within the wastewater / drainage industry, leading the way in drainage rehabilitation.

As a Business Development Manager, youll be essential to driving growth and strengthening the companys market presence. In this role, you will establish and nurture strategic relationships, guide sales initiatives, and promote innovative, cost-effective solutions to key stakeholders in your region.

This role will be home based with frequent visits to clients covering an area of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Hampshire and West London. Due to the frequent client visits the successful candidate will need to be based in this region.

Salary and Benefits
  • Up to £45,000 pa basic salary depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Forge partnerships with contractors, engineering firms, and local authorities to expand the companys reach.
  • Lead High-Level Engagements: Present the company's mission and extensive portfolio to decision-makers, effectively communicating the value of their services.
  • Market Positioning: Track bids, projects, and private opportunities to keep the company ahead of competitors.
  • Contract Negotiations: Negotiate contracts, proposals, and terms to secure profitable agreements.
  • Feedback-Driven Strategy: Gather insights from clients and the market to refine and adapt sales initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Qualities
  • Proven Success in Sales: previous business development success in the drainage or related industry.
  • Self-Motivated and Driven: An independent thinker with a strong drive for achieving results.
  • Exceptional Communication: Skilled in building rapport, presenting, and negotiating at all levels.
  • Organised and Detail-Oriented: Able to manage multiple projects and follow up effectively.
  • Willingness to Travel: Comfortable with frequent travel to maintain and build relationships.
