2nd/3rd Line IT Infrastructure & Projects Lead

£35,000-£42,000 + Benefits

Our client, a well-respected Managed Services Provider near Maidenhead, is scaling up and needs a strong 2nd Line lead who can take charge, lead from the front, and build outstanding client relationships along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handle complex issues across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, SharePoint, Teams & more
  • Build and implement slick technical solutions for new and existing customers
  • Onboard new clients (not just adding a user… we’re talking full-on migrations)
  • Work across cloud and on-prem setups - from Azure Virtual Desktop to RDS
  • Be the escalation point for the 1st Line team when things get tricky
  • Act as the link between the support desk and the customer - you’ll need the people skills to match the tech wizardry

You’ll Need To Know Your Way Around…

  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Intune, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management
  • Firewalls, networking, IP telephony (bonus if you’ve danced with Gamma Horizon)
  • Basic PowerShell scripting (or at least not afraid of the command line)
  • Remote Desktop, RDS / Terminal Services
  • Apple Mac OS (nice to have)
  • Microsoft Azure - any experience here = big brownie points

We’re Looking For Someone Who’s…

  • Working in an MSP (mandatory - apologies internal-only IT folks!)
  • Confident supporting, configuring, and deploying Microsoft 365 services
  • Done full customer onboardings (yep, from scratch)
  • Got solid leadership instincts - or wants to grow into a management role in the future
  • Brilliant with clients, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys solving problems
  • Hungry to keep learning and develop their skillset even further
