Role Overview
They are seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join their structural engineering team. The role involves preparing accurate drawings and models, coordinating with engineers, and supporting the delivery of structural projects across a variety of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician to further develop their skills within a supportive consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and amend structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD (and Revit where applicable).
Work closely with engineers to translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings.
Manage and prioritise multiple drawing packages across different projects simultaneously.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards and company procedures.
Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery.
Contribute to maintaining quality and efficiency across project outputs.
Technical Criteria
Qualified to HNC level (advantageous, but not essential).
2+ years' relevant experience in a CAD role.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Keen focus on quality, with the ability to work efficiently within a multi-disciplinary team.
Capability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Some experience of building structures and knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and load-bearing masonry (advantageous).
CAD experience in a related sector will also be considered.
Excellent communication skills and a positive working attitude.
