Therapy Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Therapy HLTA to join a specialist team supporting children and young people with a range of physical, functional, and sensory needs.

  • Hours: Term time only, 35 hours per week, 8:45AM to 4:30PM Mondays and Tuesdays, 8:45am - 4:15PM Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:45AM - 3:45PM Fridays
  • Salary: 25,098 plus 1,268 SEN allowance

As the Therapy HLTA you will be responsible for:

  • Deliver and support therapy programmes under the guidance of therapists.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to embed therapeutic approaches in the classroom.
  • Provide coaching and role-modelling for staff to ensure consistent use of therapy strategies and assistive technology.
  • Help coordinate and maintain specialist equipment to support students' independence and wellbeing.
  • Lead small group and individual interventions to help students achieve their goals.

The successful Evening Cleaner will have the following related skills / experience:

  • Has significant experience as a HLTA or in leading therapeutic/educational interventions.
  • Understands child development and SEND.
  • Can work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and support others.
