A fantastic role has arisen for an Accounts Senior to join an accounting firm based in Maidenhead.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements for a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of client VAT returns.
- Preparation of management accounts and assisting clients with financial reporting.
- Reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff and providing feedback and guidance to help develop their skills.
- Liaising with clients to gather relevant information and ensure all necessary details are included in the preparation of accounts.
- Handling client queries and providing support and advice on a variety of accounting issues.
- Assisting with year-end accounts and corporate tax returns preparation, ensuring all filings are done in compliance with relevant tax laws and accounting standards.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and advisory services, as required.
- Work closely with senior management to meet deadlines and support the wider team in delivering high-quality client service.
- Keep up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- Qualified or Part Qualified ACA or ACCA (or equivalent), or qualified by experience, with solid practice experience.
- Have experience within an accounting practice/firm
- Experience in preparing accounts, VAT returns, and other related accounting tasks.
- A strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines.
