Accounts Senior

A fantastic role has arisen for an Accounts Senior to join an accounting firm based in Maidenhead.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements for a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of client VAT returns.
• Preparation of management accounts and assisting clients with financial reporting.
• Reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff and providing feedback and guidance to help develop their skills.
• Liaising with clients to gather relevant information and ensure all necessary details are included in the preparation of accounts.
• Handling client queries and providing support and advice on a variety of accounting issues.
• Assisting with year-end accounts and corporate tax returns preparation, ensuring all filings are done in compliance with relevant tax laws and accounting standards.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and advisory services, as required.
• Work closely with senior management to meet deadlines and support the wider team in delivering high-quality client service.
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

• Qualified or Part Qualified ACA or ACCA (or equivalent), or qualified by experience, with solid practice experience.
• Have experience within an accounting practice/firm
• Experience in preparing accounts, VAT returns, and other related accounting tasks.
• A strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines.
