Aspiring Psychologist - Psychology Graduate Maidenhead - Education and Training - Aspiring Psychologist - Psychology Graduate Maidenhead - LSA role for an Art Graduate who has sincere ambitions within Clinical and Education Psychology. The LSA role will give you experience working in a very diverse, Autistic setting - this is a very challenging role on a number of levels, depending on where you are placed in school. You could be working with students with extensive, complex social needs to very sweet, loving students with profound and multiple learning challenges.
This role is very challenging, Autistic students will struggle to have empathy, if they can display or comprehend it all. This means things will happen in role that may seem personal, they almost never are, and this LSA role will help you build up your resilience. The students range from those who are cognitively very capable, academically, to children with a very low level of learning and who will require personal care. It is a good example of how diverse and the complicated role Autism plays in society.
3-17 aged, Primary, and Secondary aged students all with EHCPs - Students will have Autism, Dyslexia, OCD, ADHD, plus complex social needs �75 per day, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 3.30pm
All training and support provided by the school with their excellent training system, there will always be some anti-social behaviour in these contexts. Positive engagement, giving the children a sense of acceptance, talking therapy will not always work here so different approaches required
