Are you passionate about making a different and supporting students who have difficulties with their mental health?

Our incredible school in Maidenhead is looking for a mental health teaching assistant to start asap. They are looking for someone with a positive attitude, who is passionate about mental health in vulnerable students and someone who is able to hit the ground running!

This inclusive school cater for students of primary age - 3yrs to 16yrs - who have been identified as struggling with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). These students have unfortunately been exposed to adverse childhood experiences and thus have backgrounds of trauma. They each have their own educational health care plans and have support from other multi-disciplinary professionals.

Your role as a mental health professional will be to support these students in small groups or one to one, where you will support them in their individualised intervention plans. Really providing them with the support they need and deserve!

You will also support the students in adopting and making use of healthy emotional coping strategies, helping them to process and regulate their emotions.

Your ultimate goal as a mental health teaching assistant will be create a safe and fun environment, where the students can thrive, working on their intervention plans but also laying down important ground work for healthy adults!
