A well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Maidstone is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their successful and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain increasing client exposure, take on more responsibility, and grow your career—with full study support provided for those working toward professional qualifications.

As part of a close-knit and collaborative team, you will play a hands-on role in the delivery of accounting services to a mix of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. The position offers progression in both responsibility and client involvement as your experience develops within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of annual accounts, tax computations, VAT returns, and management accounts

  • Bookkeeping for a varied client base

  • Supporting clients across a range of sectors including OMBs, charities, and SMEs

  • Gradually increasing client contact and responsibilities as you progress

Requirements

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment

  • Background in preparing accounts, tax returns, management accounts, bookkeeping, and/or VAT returns for a mixed client portfolio

  • AAT qualified or currently studying, or ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional approach
