What you will be doing as a CAD Engineer
In this CAD Engineer position, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D designs that support the delivery of wastewater treatment equipment and associated infrastructure. You will be working closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and buildable.
You will be:
路Designing wastewater equipment, pipework, and access solutions
路Producing 3D models and layouts using Autodesk Inventor
路Generating fabrication and detailed manufacturing drawings
路Developing and maintaining accurate 3D CAD models using supplier and industry-standard components
路Managing and updating the drawings register and tracking system
路Working to agreed deadlines and departmental KPIs
路Attending design review meetings and contributing to continuous improvement

What you will need to succeed
To thrive as a CAD Engineer in this role, you will bring a strong technical foundation and a proactive, detail-focused approach.
Essential experience and skills:
路At least 2 years' experience using Autodesk Inventor
路At least 2 years' experience using AutoCAD (2D)
路Experience working with Autodesk Vault
路Strong written and verbal communication skills
路Excellent organisation and planning abilities
路High attention to detail with a dynamic working style
路Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
路A full UK driving licence
Desirable experience:
路iLogic within Inventor
路Sheet metal design using Inventor
路3D rendering experience
路Previous experience in the water or wastewater industry
