We are excited to announce the opening of a new nursery in Lenham and are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant. This role is perfect for someone who is Level 3 qualified in Childcare and is committed to providing high-quality care and education to young children.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote child development.
- Support the creation of a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore and learn.
- Help prepare meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with other nursery staff to monitor and support the children’s progress and well-being.
- Engage with children in activities that foster their social, emotional, and physical development.
- Adhere to nursery policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.
- Participate in staff meetings and undertake continuous professional development to enhance work practices.
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a nursery setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team and with young children.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to childcare.
- Ability to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic environment.
