Our client, a dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their expanding team based in Maidstone. Specialising in a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and office space, they offer a varied and rewarding workload of both project and professional services. With most projects located within 1 hour of Maidstone (and none further than 2 hours), this is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy that values balance, collaboration, and career development.

This role is ideally suited to a Building Surveyor with prior experience in a consultancy or client-side environment, looking to work in a flexible, supportive team with strong routes to progression. APC support is available for those working towards chartership.

Building Surveyor Job Overview

  • Delivering a range of building surveying services across residential (60%) and commercial (40%) projects
  • Leading small to medium-sized construction and refurbishment schemes
  • Preparing specifications, tender documentation, and managing contracts (JCT and NEC)
  • Conducting building and condition surveys, defect analysis, and dilapidations
  • Providing professional services including party wall matters and statutory applications
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships across sectors

Building Surveyor Job Requirements

  • Degree in Building Surveying or similar
  • Previous consultancy or client-side experience required
  • Proven experience delivering both project and professional surveying services
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region
