About the Role

Exchequer Services provide high quality financial services, ensuring high levels of customer services and timely delivery. This role plays a key part in the provision of financial support to external and internal customers.

This post may require you to work in either the Accounts Payable or Children Payment Team within Exchequer Service (Accounts Administration)

An Accounts Administration Officer should provide a first-class customer service to colleagues within the Council and external customers of the Authority, handling customer enquires face to face, over the telephone, internet, or email, giving information and resolving queries.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Act as first point of contact for the team, handling customer enquiries effectively across a number of different services via telephone, email, written response and face to face meetings.
  • deal sensitively and manage challenging situations with customers.
  • Process sensitive data.
  • Interpret diverse financial information and provide customers with up-to-date advice and accurate support to their enquiries.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information in line with GDPR requirements.
  • complete financial reconciliations.

Required Skills and Qualification

  • Experience of working with basic financial tasks.
  • Experience with data entry
  • Experience usign Oracle

Benefits

  • No weekend working. 37 hours per week.
