Job Specification - Band 7 Dietitian (Critical Care / Surgical) Job Title: Band 7 Dietitian - Critical Care / Surgical Ref: GD9GJ Location: Acute Specialist Medicine Programme - Therapies Department Trust: [Include Trust name if known] Start Date: 3rd February 2025 End Date: 20th June 2025 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 Work Pattern: Fully Onsite Setting: Adults - Critical Care & Surgical Inpatients Rate: Competitive Band 7 rates (Agenda for Change, dependent on experience) Role Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Advanced Dietitian to join the Critical Care and Surgical team within an acute adult setting. You will play a vital role in the nutrition management of patients requiring complex nutritional support, including those in intensive care and post-surgical recovery. Key Responsibilities: Provide advanced dietetic assessment and management of adults in critical care and post-surgical wards Liaise closely with MDTs including Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals Formulate and implement complex nutritional care plans Participate in ward rounds and contribute to discharge planning Support and supervise junior dietitians where appropriate Candidate Requirements: HCPC registered Dietitian Previous NHS experience in an acute critical care or surgical setting Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Able to commit to onsite work for the full duration of the contract
