Standard working hours in the week with occasional weekend work (overtime paid)
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experienced in electrical fault-finding and maintenance; mechanical knowledge also a 'nice to have' but not essential.
- Background in a commercial or industrial environment (as opposed to domestic).
- Comfortable with an element of physical work, and flexibility to take on light travel in the Kent area (with own driving licence).
- Beneficial but not essential: NVQ Level 3 - or equivalent - in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Experience in the robotics domain is NOT a requirement as training can be provided in the job, however an interest in getting involved in cutting edge technology and the robotics world would be advantageous!
SUMMARY:
This business is developing cutting edge robotic and AI solutions for a specialist sector. They have a small engineering team in Kent who are responsible for deploying and maintaining robots in commercial operation.
This role will involve testing and deployment of new solutions, as well as the maintenance and fault finding of robots already in deployment. The successful candidate will need to be confident in electrical engineering and fault finding. Mechanical issues may also arise and, whilst knowledge in this area would be beneficial, this aspect of the work could be learned in the job.
We also need somebody with a general level of flexibility in order to undertake some travel in the working week (normally local and still in the Kent area) who is happy to work in outdoor environments.
