Who you will be working for
You will be joining ATAC Solutions, a well-established specialist in wastewater treatment and pumping systems. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for the water, utilities and environmental sectors. What you will be doing day to day
As an Electrical Engineer (Production), you will be hands-on in both the workshop and on customer sites, contributing directly to the build and reliability of hire fleet and build-to-buy systems. You will be doing things such as:
路Wiring and integrating electrical components including pumps, sensors, instrumentation, control cables and distribution assemblies
路Supporting installation, testing, commissioning and fault-finding of electrical systems
路Carrying out electrical modifications and upgrades to existing hire equipment
路Preparing systems for factory acceptance tests and commissioning
路Working closely with mechanical engineers to deliver complete system builds
路Performing continuity testing, insulation resistance testing and functional checks
路Assisting with wiring of small control panels and junction boxes
路Labelling cables, ensuring correct terminations and maintaining high wiring standards
路Reviewing supplier-built panels for compliance and supporting their integration
路Completing electrical test sheets, build records and compliance documentation
路Following safety procedures, testing standards and compliance requirements
路Feeding back electrical improvements and issues to the production team

What you need to bring with you
To succeed as an Electrical Engineer (Production), you will already have strong practical electrical experience. You will ideally have:
Essential
路Experience wiring pumps, instruments, MCCs or small control systems
路Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
路Experience fault-finding and testing low-voltage electrical systems
路Strong hands-on electrical workshop skills
路An electrical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
路A full UK driving licence
Desirable
路Experience in water, wastewater, temporary pumping or environmental equipment
路ECS or CSCS card and 18th Edition knowledge
路Exposure to industrial panels, PLC interfaces or instrumentation
路PAT testing or electrical compliance experience
路Confined Space, EUSR Water Hygiene or utility passports
路Lifting equipment or forklift certifications
