A Southeast England Council is expanding its SEND and Inclusion Service and is seeking five dedicated and experienced Education Health and Care (EHC) Coordinators to join us on a permanent basis.

This is a hybrid role, requiring regular attendance at the office and flexibility to work across local hubs. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities, managing the full lifecycle of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the statutory EHCP process from assessment through to review and amendment.

  • Collaborate with children, families, schools, colleges, training providers, and health and social care professionals to develop high-quality, outcome-focused EHCPs.

  • Ensure all plans comply with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice (2015).

  • Be the main point of contact for families, offering clear guidance and compassionate support throughout the EHCP process.

  • Maintain accurate records, track outcomes, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our service.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience managing EHCPs, including both pre- and post-14 transitions.

  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory responsibilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
