Portfolio Procurement have been engaged by our leading Kent based client to recruit for a Procurement Manager (Food)

Job Description

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies within the food and packaging categories.
  • Manage the purchasing process including buying, supplying and distribution for the company.
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery at competitive prices.
  • Forecast demand for our products and services, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Stay up to date with changing regulations.
  • Identify the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience as Procurement Manager within a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience sourcing food ingredients and packaging.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (ideally).
  • Strategically minded with strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with international suppliers and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
