Role: Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist (Specialising in Cardiac Devices) Location: Sheppey Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Department: Cardiorespiratory Start Date: 6th May 2025 End Date: Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00 Contract Type: Full-time Rate: Competitive Band 7 - £34 per hour umbrella equivalent Key Responsibilities: Specialising in cardiac devices, particularly Sorin and St Jude systems. Perform and interpret high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (BSE accreditation required). Conduct follow-ups and device checks for implanted cardiac devices (pacemakers, loop recorders, ICDs). Provide specialist cardiac physiology input within the Cardiorespiratory Team. Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac nurses, and the wider MDT. Support the Acute Specialist Medicine Programme's diagnostic services. Candidate Requirements: BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) accreditation is essential. Proven experience in cardiac devices (particularly Sorin and St Jude). Strong clinical background within cardiology diagnostics. Ability to work independently in a busy acute/community setting. HCPC registration (if applicable).
