The Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting a motivated and reliable Voids Operative on behalf of our client an independent accommodation services provider operating across the UK. This well-established organisation supports clients in central and local government, as well as the charitable sector.
As a Voids Operative, you will report directly to the Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader and play a key role in ensuring that properties are clean, hygienic, and compliant to the company's quality standards. The position involves working in vacant properties to prepare them for occupancy, including the removal of rubbish and coordination of waste collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare vacant properties to a high standard
- Ensure all accommodation is safe, hygienic, and fit for purpose
- Remove rubbish and store appropriately for collection
- Maintain compliance with health and safety and company guidelines
- Support the wider maintenance and repairs team as required
- Record work completed in accordance with internal procedures
What We're Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential) - DVLA checks will be conducted
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check
- Previous experience in cleaning, property maintenance, or voids preparation (desirable)
