We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join our dynamic team in the Medway area. Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative Chemistry lessons as part of the broader Science curriculum across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Develop and enhance students' understanding of Chemistry, using experiments, practicals, and demonstrations to illustrate scientific concepts.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to cater for different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other Science department members to plan and coordinate lessons, projects, and science events.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-wide professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong background in Chemistry.
- Proven experience in teaching Chemistry at a secondary school level.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
