We're Hiring: SEN Teaching Assistant for Students with Autism and Additional Needs �?

A specialist school, located in a small village just outside of Maidstone, is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with young people aged 7-19 who have MLD, ASD, and complex needs. The role includes both classroom-based support and involvement in the school's outreach program, assisting with outdoor activities and visits to places such as the local stables.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
  • Contract Type: Full-Time

About Us:

The school has a fantastic SLT who truly cares about staff well-being and provides a fun and nurturing environment for the students. Class sizes are up to 10 students, with 2-3 Teaching Assistants in each class, ensuring that every student receives the support they need.

The school is dedicated to ensuring pupils get the most from their education, with a therapeutic approach to learning and a supportive environment for children with SEN.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in Healthcare/Nursing or working with Learning Difficulties is essential
  • Passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other supporting staff
