Are you experienced in supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have the patience, empathy, and energy to make a real difference in a child’s school day? If so, this opportunity in Tonbridge could be the right next step for you.

We’re looking for a committed and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school where children are at the heart of everything they do. You’ll be working with pupils who may find learning more challenging and need help to feel calm, confident, and engaged in the classroom.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Providing tailored support to students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs.

  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, both in and out of the classroom.

  • Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt activities and build supportive routines.

  • Helping to create a learning environment where every child feels safe and understood.

What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (in a school, alternative provision, or similar setting).

  • A calm, positive and flexible approach to support and behaviour management.

  • Confidence working with children who may display emotional or behavioural difficulties.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.

  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.

What we offer:
  • Competitive daily rate of £88.94, paid weekly.

  • A dedicated consultant who will support you throughout your placement.

  • Opportunities for training and professional development in SEN.

  • Direct links to local schools with long-term and permanent opportunities.

If you’re ready to take on a role where your support truly matters—and where every day brings a new chance to help a child grow—we’d love to hear from you.
