Day-to-day of the role:- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students with ASD.
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques and tools, including technology, to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to maximize student learning and well-being.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies and techniques to meet the evolving needs of the students.
- Create a supportive, structured, and predictable classroom environment that helps students with ASD feel secure and motivated to learn.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in teaching students with ASD.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a focus or qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Proven experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and best practices for teaching students with ASD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate with families.
