We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our vibrant school in Mid Kent, catering to both primary and secondary aged students. Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of students with a range of learning difficulties.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Implement and adapt the curriculum to meet the individual learning needs and abilities of each student.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to students, parents, and educational coordinators.
- Participate in and contribute to regular staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated with the latest teaching strategies and legislative changes.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in special educational needs (SEN) teaching.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students and effective strategies to address these.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to plan and organise effectively, ensuring all students' needs are met.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
