Seeking Dedicated SEN Tutors for Tailored Intervention in the Gravesend and Dartford areas.

£27 per hourPlus - every 5th hour worked earns you an extra hour's pay for planning and prep time!

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Do you thrive on providing personalised, one-to-one support to help students reach their full potential? If so, we want YOU to join our team as an SEN Tutor!

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking skilled and compassionate SEN Tutors to provide tailored intervention to pupils with SEN in the Gravesend and Dartford areas. As an SEN Tutor, you will support students who are not currently attending a named school provision, aligning your work with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and any other relevant supporting documentation.

This ongoing role offers the opportunity to support a range of students over time - or continue working with one student until they transition into a full-time provision. Enjoy schedule flexibility - both part-time and full-time availability are welcome! Tuition typically covers 15 hours per week (with pay for 18 hours), and you'll coordinate with parents/carers to set a mutually convenient learning timetable.

Key Responsibilities - SEN Tutor:
  • Deliver tailored one-to-one intervention sessions to students with SEN, helping them achieve key academic and developmental goals.

  • Support students' personal and educational growth based on their individual needs.

  • Apply effective strategies to help students overcome learning challenges.

  • Collaborate with families, educators, and professionals to provide comprehensive support.

  • Maintain accurate progress and attendance records.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.

  • A solid understanding of EHCPs and the ability to implement interventions accordingly.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting SEN students.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
