Our client is a leading force within the Fresh Produce industry and is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Controller to based at their site in Kent. The main job purpose will be to act as a partner to several key stakeholders including customers, operational managers, and growers to ensure the smooth running of their business. Supporting the company to match customer requirements with operational capability. The role includes a diverse range of contacts and tasks from the planning stage to despatch of goods and is an integral part of the business. Main Key Accountabilities:

  • Matching customer requirements with operational capacity. Planning business activity, pack-house, warehouse, arrivals in line with the business capacity and customer's requirements.
  • Processing orders and releasing stock to production in a timely manner throughout the working day.
  • Reviewing orders against forecast and adjusting their forward stock position to ensure control on a short/medium term basis.
  • Use of customer portals and data to plan forward requirements, translating this information into weekly grower programs.
  • Manage raw material arrivals by means of raising PO's and providing data for customs entries for EU Products. Reconcile the matching invoices for customs charges.
  • Daily Raw Material Stock reconciliation.
  • Stock control, ensuring stock is used in a rotational basis.
  • Booking all outbound transport for all customers, reconcile invoices and authorise the relevant invoices.
  • Assist to identify and resolve all issues in normal operations and manage all communication for all schedule disruption.
  • Ensuring the operations are under control and provide suitable levels of information, instruction, training to employees in their area.
  • Comply with all relevant Company policies and procedures, including H&S, Environmental Policy, Equal opportunities etc.

The successful candidate must have strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Must also have the ability to build rapport with customers and have problem solving skills. Good time management and organisational skills. Excellent IT knowledge.
