A leading multi-national supplier of FMCG goods is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join their expanding business. With a state-of-the-art head office nestled in the picturesque Malvern Hills, this company is thriving and growing stronger every day.

While they offer their own branded products, the majority oftheir goods are supplied to major blue-chip customers and retailers. The Supply Chain Planner will play a crucial role in managing the customer supply chain interface, ensuring a seamless flow of finished products and raw materials.

Key Responsibilities of Supply Chain Planner:

  • Building Relationships: Foster strong connections with suppliers and customers to facilitate open communication and effective supply chain management.
  • Forecasting: Collaborate with the commercial team to maintain accurate forecasts for finished goods and raw materials, driving replenishment and MRP processes.
  • Stock Management: Report precise stock positions to keep the business informed about shelf life, stock rotation, obsolete items, excess, and slow-moving stock.
  • Purchase Orders: Create purchase orders for reordering products from suppliers, considering lead times and forecast requirements to achieve target stock levels.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders in line with expectations.
  • Production Planning: Develop plans to convert raw materials into finished products through our UK factory operations, maintaining agreed stock levels.
  • Product Lifecycle: Communicate activities related to product introductions and exits to minimise waste.

Ideal Supply Chain Planner:

You will have experience in a similar environment, with extensive customer service and customer-facing experience. Flexibility to meet the changing demands of customers is essential.
