While they offer their own branded products, the majority oftheir goods are supplied to major blue-chip customers and retailers. The Supply Chain Planner will play a crucial role in managing the customer supply chain interface, ensuring a seamless flow of finished products and raw materials.
Key Responsibilities of Supply Chain Planner:
- Building Relationships: Foster strong connections with suppliers and customers to facilitate open communication and effective supply chain management.
- Forecasting: Collaborate with the commercial team to maintain accurate forecasts for finished goods and raw materials, driving replenishment and MRP processes.
- Stock Management: Report precise stock positions to keep the business informed about shelf life, stock rotation, obsolete items, excess, and slow-moving stock.
- Purchase Orders: Create purchase orders for reordering products from suppliers, considering lead times and forecast requirements to achieve target stock levels.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders in line with expectations.
- Production Planning: Develop plans to convert raw materials into finished products through our UK factory operations, maintaining agreed stock levels.
- Product Lifecycle: Communicate activities related to product introductions and exits to minimise waste.
Ideal Supply Chain Planner:
You will have experience in a similar environment, with extensive customer service and customer-facing experience. Flexibility to meet the changing demands of customers is essential.
