Role Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of around 300 personal tax clients, preparing tax returns, and assisting with related queries
  • Liaising with HMRC to amend tax codes, request refunds, and resolve ad hoc issues
  • Attending client meetings and calls, supporting the discussion and clarification of personal tax matters
  • Preparing and filing Capital Gains Tax returns
  • Registering trusts on the Trust Registration Service (TRS)
  • Gaining exposure to Corporation Tax, with opportunities to support the team on company tax returns over time

Candidate Requirements
  • Some prior experience in tax or accountancy (within a practice environment preferred)
  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
  • A friendly and professional manner with excellent written and verbal communication
  • A willingness to learn and take initiative, wit a proactive and client-focused approach
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with tax software is a plus
  • A strong interest in pursuing the ATT qualification (study support provided)
