Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic to work as a Field Service Mobile Technician covering a regional area , to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional on-site support to our clients, ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and enhance equipment longevity.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and efficiently, providing solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs, installations, and customer interactions.
  • Provide training and support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance service offerings.

Experience:

  • NVQ, City & Guilds, Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Service and Maintenance, or equivalent, or time served
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicle body and chassis on RCVs or similar vehicles

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • A valid driver's licence is essential for travel to client locations.
