Robert Half is exclusively working with a high-performing, forward-thinking business to recruit an Accountant | paying up to £56k| Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)

This opportunity would suit an experienced accountant to join a dynamic and growing finance team. The successful candidate will focus on managing indirect costs across multiple business units and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial close process.

The Role

As an Accountant, you'll report directly to the Director of Accounting and work closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation. You'll support month-end and year-end processes, ensure accurate allocation of costs, maintain rigorous internal controls, and assist in financial reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for multiple entities
  • Prepare and post journals with supporting documentation
  • Ensure accurate cost allocations across business segments, markets, and verticals
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to a culture of operational excellence
  • Work cross-functionally to support accurate and timely financial reporting

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting role
  • CPA qualification (or working towards) is preferred
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with reporting standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle is advantageous
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
