A Fixed Assets Accountant is required to work within our clients Accounting & Finance department based in Manchester City Centre.

Description
The key responsibilities for a Fixed Asset Accountant will include:
- Manage and maintain the company's fixed assets register
- Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and journal entries
- Contribute to the preparation of month-end accounts and financial statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Liaise with external auditors as required
- Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects
- Ensure financial compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Provide analysis and insights to management regarding fixed assets
Profile
A successful Fixed Assets Accountant should have:
- A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
- Strong Financial Accounting experience managing and reporting on Fixed Assets
- Qualified by experience or part-qualified
- Proficiency in accounting software ideally Oracle or SAP and strong MS excel skills
- Experience working in a large business ideally in a SSC
- Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting principles and practices
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
