A Fixed Assets Accountant is required to work within our clients Accounting & Finance department based in Manchester City Centre.

Description

The key responsibilities for a Fixed Asset Accountant will include:

  • Manage and maintain the company's fixed assets register
  • Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and journal entries
  • Contribute to the preparation of month-end accounts and financial statements
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Liaise with external auditors as required
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc projects
  • Ensure financial compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Provide analysis and insights to management regarding fixed assets

Profile

A successful Fixed Assets Accountant should have:

  • A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
  • Strong Financial Accounting experience managing and reporting on Fixed Assets
  • Qualified by experience or part-qualified
  • Proficiency in accounting software ideally Oracle or SAP and strong MS excel skills
  • Experience working in a large business ideally in a SSC
  • Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting principles and practices
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
