Junior Accountant

Based: Manchester centre, hybrid working

Salary: up to £28k + study + benefits

Our client are a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial business with growth plans for 2025 and beyond. Due to growth, we are involved with helping them build out their finance team at their new Manchester offices. This role is perfect for a driven finance junior who thrives from working in a fast-paced environment, looking for autonomy in their role under a strong mentor and is passionate about becoming a future qualified Accountant

Role:

  • Overseeing transactional finance duties including purchase & sales ledger
  • Assisting with month end processes, supporting year-end accounts production
  • Assisting with month end management accounts production
  • Producing VAT returns, inter-company reconciliations & postings
  • Managing revenue streams, invoicing and accrued revenue postings
  • Posting payments & receipts, organising & filing invoices
  • Maintaining expenditure records and coding invoices correctly
  • Performing credit control duties

Experience:

  • Ambitious junior studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA and keen to become qualified in future
  • At least 2 years experience in a Finance environment
  • Self-motivated, strong communication skills and able to use initiative
  • Ability to multi-task is ESSENTIAL and working in a fast paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills
