Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee cost accounting processes, including the preparation of cost-related month-end journals and reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies.
Support the completion of month end cost processes and the timely delivery of month-end outputs. Ensure that all relevant cost data is accurately recorded and reported, in line with financial governance standards.
Monitor cost-related accounting processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, and escalate any risks or issues to the Cost Senior Financial Accountant. Propose and implement actions to mitigate identified risks.
Provide cost analysis and financial insights for month end reporting and to the Commercial Finance team as needed, ensuring that cost data is accurately reflected and easily accessible for decision-making.
Assist the Cost Senior Financial Accountant with ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting tasks, and cost-related projects. Provide strategic recommendations and operational support as required.
Contribute to the identification and implementation of improvements in cost reporting, accounting processes, and system automation. Continuously strive to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cost-related financial operations.

Requirements:

Candidates who are qualified in or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA preferred.
Sound understanding of finance or accounting roles, with a focus on balance sheet management, reconciliations, and cash management.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and cash flow management strategies.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g, Workday) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
