Management Accountant | Manchester – Trafford | £45,000 - £55,000
An opportunity has arisen to join a successful business based in Manchester in a role designed to oversee month end MI production whilst aiming to proactively add value to internal non-finance stakeholders.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will have a broad role with main duties including;
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes across departments
- Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance
- Monitor and control expenditure, highlighting cost-saving opportunities
- Support business decision-making with financial analysis and insights
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries as part of month-end processes
- Liaise with auditors and assist in the preparation of audit materials
- Provide financial support to operational teams and help track KPIs
- Assist in developing and improving financial reporting systems and processes
- Support compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management
Candidate profile;
- CIMA/ACCA Qualified or Finalist
- Proven expeirence within Management Accounts
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communciation skills
