Key Responsibilities:

As the Accounts Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Managing the daily cashbook and ensuring timely and accurate transactional input
  • Supporting the wider accounts team with financial data entry and administrative tasks
  • Assisting with month-end reporting cycles
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders across the group to ensure timely delivery of financial information
  • Assisting with statutory audits and investigations as they arise
  • Handling ad-hoc finance-related tasks and contributing to process improvement
  • Taking initiative and showing autonomy in decision-making when appropriate

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To thrive as an Accounts Assistant, you’ll bring basic Excel skills and, ideally, some exposure to Sage software, though this is beneficial rather than essential. Your positive attitude and eagerness to learn on the job will be fundamental as you navigate new challenges. Strong organisational ability and a keen eye for detail will help you maintain the accuracy of financial records, while excellent interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the business.
