Are you looking to join a dynamic and fast-paced Working at a leading law firm. As a Billing Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in managing billing operations and reducing lock-up across multiple departments. This is a high-volume, detail-oriented role that requires a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration with senior stakeholders and key clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review new matters to ensure accurate billing setup, including client details, rates, and invoicing arrangements.

  • Generate accurate invoices and credit notes using the firm's billing system, ensuring all work aligns with service level agreements.

  • Handle complex billing scenarios such as multi-party apportionment, net recovery, and joint billing.

  • Respond promptly to billing queries via email and phone.

  • Manage high-volume billing inboxes and associated workflows.

  • Process WIP write-offs..

  • Prepare and submit e-bills across various platforms, including matter setup, reference checks, and budget alignment.

  • Support the distribution of completed bills and assist with general administrative tasks as needed.

  • Take on additional duties as required by your line manager.

About You

  • Previous billing experience within a legal or professional services environment preferred.

  • Strong communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach.

  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities; capable of handling competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with legal billing processes, including apportionment and joint billing.

  • A collaborative team player who thrives under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with billing and case management systems.
