Do you want to work for a Prestigious Business located in Central Manchester? I am working on an exclusive basis with my client a service business to recruit a Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant. Working in a small close knit team this role will be responsible for carrying out the day to day bookkeeping and general finance tasks with plenty of variety and perfect for anyone that likes to be kept busy!

CORE DUTIES

Weekly bookkeeping duties

o Banks imports and reconciliations

o Purchase/sales invoices

o Prepayments and accruals

o Multi currency payments

o Banking

  • Review of monthly Income & Expenditure - management accounts pack

o For anomalies, trends, completion etc

o High level Budget vs Actual

  • Review of monthly Balance Sheet - management accounts pack

o For cap ex, presentation, completion etc

o Loan debtors capital and interest reconciliations

  • Submitting management accounts for review - confident in completion, to be reviewed by Head of Finance

o Income & Expenditure

o Balance Sheet

o Nominal listing

AD HOC DUTIES

  • Weekly stockbroking report - full training given, no experience needed
  • Liaising with external contacts -PA’s, banks, etc
  • Cashflow updating - monitoring and ongoing purposes
  • Annual budget setting - completion based on prior 12 months
  • Reviewing KPI’s for individual family members -

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Confident in ability with bookkeeping to management accounts level
  • Either AAT or QBE
  • Attention to detail imperative
  • Strong work ethic and pride in work
  • Xero experience preferred but not required
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Friendly, personable and willing to learn

OTHER

  • Hours 9-5:30 Monday to Thursday, 9 - 4:30 Friday (45 mins dinner)
  • WFH Wednesday and Friday
  • Monthly team lunch, staff discount, breakfast facilities at the office
  • Annual discretionary bonus
