Trafford Council is seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in providing high-quality support to managers, staff, and service users, ensuring efficient operation across our Stretford and Partington hubs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide customer-focused support, handling enquiries efficiently and effectively.
  • Input and maintain data across various IT systems, both manual and electronic.
  • Produce and manage high-quality documents, including minutes, reports, letters, and forms.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas and papers for meetings.
  • Process orders, invoices, and payments in line with council policies and financial regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and case files, adhering to data protection standards.
  • Manage diaries and assist in organising conferences, meetings, and other events.
  • Perform general office duties and other tasks as needed to support the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in administrative or reception roles.
  • Proficiency in various IT systems and office software.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Candidates must have a basic DBS check.
