Development & Engagement Administration Assistant
£15.40 per hour 
Temporary
Office Based, Manchester City Centre

Overall job purpose:
To provide administrative and operational support to the Development function, helping to strengthen the clients relationships with alumni, donors, and other key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support senior fundraising staff with admin tasks and meeting coordination
  • Organise visits for alumni, donors, and prospective donors
  • Manage donor-related enquiries and shared email accounts
  • Assist with proofreading and formatting proposals and reports
  • Research and compile information for fundraising materials
  • Maintain accurate records in Raiser’s Edge database
  • Process expenses and provide financial admin support
  • Use internal systems for procurement and travel arrangements
  • Cover divisional reception and alumni email during absences
  • Perform other duties as required by the senior management team


Candidate requirements:

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organisation and time management
  • Experience servicing committees and minute-taking
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Team player with a customer-focused approach
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed
  • Knowledge of fundraising and alumni relations desirable
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Oracle Financials, or Campus Solutions
