Post Completion Assistant  A leading law firm is seeking a meticulous and proactive Post Completion Assistant to join the team in the coming weeks. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of residential property post-completion processes and a desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment. Overview: The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the firm remains compliant and efficient across all post-completion activities. From Land Registry submissions to SDLT/LTT returns and Companies House registrations, this position is central to maintaining the smooth running of property transactions across the business. Key Responsibilities: ?? Land Registry:
  • Prepare and submit applications (Transfers, Leases, Charges, CN1s, RXs, etc.)
  • Handle requisitions and raise queries with the Land Registry
  • Update electronic post-completion checklists and team trackers
?? SDLT/LTT:
  • Draft and submit SDLT and LTT returns, including calculations
  • Ensure timely payment to HMRC/WRA
  • Stay up-to-date with rate changes and procedural updates
�? Companies House:
  • Register and satisfy Charges/Debentures within statutory deadlines
?? Searches & Secondary Duties:
  • Conduct OS1, OS2, SIM, Bankruptcy, company, and winding-up searches
  • Manage official documents, insurance policies, and local authority records
  • Handle PG82 Certificates, No Search Certificates, and Chancel Repair policies
?? Searchflow Searches:
  • Plot and process property searches using the Searchflow system
  • Distribute and file search results appropriately
Required Experience & Skills:
  • Essential: Experience in residential property post-completion work
  • Desirable: Experience in commercial property or property finance
  • Familiarity with case management systems (Proclaim) and BigHand is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and professional presence
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams in a dynamic environment
