Our client is a global leading manufacturer who are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established team.

The Job

  • Preventative Maintenance & Equipment Uptime:
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, and related systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
  • Monitor equipment performance parameters, identify potential issues, and take corrective action to prevent breakdowns.
  • Implement improvements to optimize equipment efficiency and prolong operating life.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Breakdown Response & Troubleshooting:
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot the source of the problem efficiently.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults using established procedures and tools.
  • Minimize downtime and ensure timely restoration of production.
  • Possess a strong understanding of injection moulding machinery: hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, controls, process variables.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of safety procedures and LOTO protocols.

About you

  • Time served level 3 apprenticeship in engineering discipline (preferably multi-skilled)
  • Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills
  • CMMS experience (preferably Shire Pirana) maintaining accurate records
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively integrate with existing maintenance team

Desirable 

  • Experienced in injection moulding, robotics (3 + 6 Axis) and automated packaging lines
  • Able to use initiative – identifies solutions to problems and recommend improvements
  • Awareness of safety regulations – PUWER, LOLER etc
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Strong root cause analysis skills – 5Y, RCPS, 8D, Ishikawa etc
  • PLC experience – troubleshooting, basic programming and machine fault finding using ladder logic analysis
