Are you a collaborative Structural Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a forward-thinking and sustainability-focused engineering practice, is seeking a talented professional to join their growing multi-disciplinary office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-profile private and public-sector clients while helping shape meaningful, environmentally responsible design.
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse range of projects, applying strong technical skills, creativity and clear communication. Working closely with Senior and Associate Engineers, you'll gain hands-on project management experience and play an active role in the development of junior team members. This position offers genuine progression towards chartership and future leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural engineering design across a variety of project types
- Preparing, presenting and reviewing drawings, reports and calculations
- Supporting and briefing Technicians and Graduate Engineers
- Attending project team meetings and undertaking occasional site surveys/inspections
- Participating in internal design reviews
- Contributing to bid writing and fee proposals
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and internal quality management systems
About You
- Working towards chartership (IStructE / ICE)
- Strong technical design capability with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Collaborative communicator who enjoys working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Passionate about sustainable design, architecture and the wider built environment
- Keen to develop leadership, project management and commercial skills
