We are seeking an experienced Freelance Design Manager to oversee the design lifecycle of a high-profile refurbishment. This project requires a keen eye for luxury aesthetics combined with the technical rigor necessary to manage a fast-paced construction schedule.



The Role

As the Design Manager, you will be the vital link between the stakeholders, the interior design team, and the main contractors. Your goal is to ensure the design intent is preserved while staying on budget and on program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Design Deliverables: Manage the flow of information between architects, interior designers, and MEP consultants.

  • Technical Review: Review drawing packages for buildability and compliance with brand standards.

  • Procurement Support: Assist in the selection and specification of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment).

  • Site Liaison: Attend site meetings to resolve design queries (RFIs) and ensure the quality of workmanship matches the approved specifications.

  • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising the guest experience.
