Our client is a well established construction business based in Manchester and Yorkshire delivering high-quality student accommodation, contemporary residential apartments, and high end hotels across the North West and Yorkshire. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional design.

The Role:
They are seeking an experiencedDesign Managerto lead and coordinate the design process across multiple exciting projects in our growing pipeline. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure that all design aspects align with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design process from concept through to completion across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, planners, and contractors to develop innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with planning regulations, building codes, and sustainability targets.
  • Review and coordinate design information, resolving conflicts between architectural and engineering elements.
  • Lead design meetings and report on design progress to senior leadership.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across our brand standards in student accommodation, apartments, and hotel offerings.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Architecture, Design Management, Construction, or related field.
  • Proven experience in design management within residential, hospitality, or student housing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
